Hi & welcome to the new retro website aimed at filling what I see as a bit of a gap. I am hoping to garner some interest around Northern Ireland and further afield.
I have a very, very bare skeleton website up for Ulster Retro – lots of space fillers to be retrospectively completed, but the forum and guestbook are up and running with the aim of building a retro computing scene fused with some Sci-fi, some books, some films, some TV discussion and perhaps we will see the creation some computer user groups around Northern Ireland if anyone is interested?
We are on Twitter / X as @UlsterRetro . Content will populate as and when I get to it but would be very happy to for any assistance / volunteer contributors.
(Strictly no politics).
*What has the pretty lady got to do with this? Absolutely nothing other than it is a default theme photo and she is wearing green for Northern Ireland 🙂
In the meantime, here are some of the nearest user groups:
- Amiga Belfast 2024
- Commodore Users Group of Ireland meets in Athlone and are behind the annual Amiga Ireland event
- TOG Hackerspace, based in Dublin
- Computer and Communications Museum of Ireland CLG, based in Galway
- Scottish Amiga Users Group,
